![]() Its cheap to buy, especially when you catch it on things like steam’s summer and xmas sales so if you like looters it should have a good return of playtime vs money expenditure. Visual wise Torchlight does look more cartoonish than other looters but I don’t recall actually thinking it to be a kiddy game. They haven’t deviated from it since then and to me seems to feed the sci-fi setting and atmosphere. (Though there were definitely limits on a 16bit console). If I recall the 3rd offline single player entry tried to deviate from the Japanese anime art style and it didn’t really hit off. This might be due to the game being designed originally around consoles which results in a default controller layout that feels a bit more natural. ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, Grim Dawn takes the best aspect of Titan Quest (which in my mind is the dual-mastery system that allows dozens of class possibilities) and eliminates the glacial pace of that game. Many people (especially here) actually prefer Titan Quest to Diablo 2. It’s actually the only game on my PC I prefer a controller over keyboard and mouse. Grim Dawn is without question the main successor to Diablo 2 in every way. I’ve been playing it off the Japan Servers. Its just the western release that’s coming in a few months after so many asking for it to be ported. They even made a short anime series about it. ![]() I’ve liked the game series long before when it was an offline sci-fi console RPG on the Sega Master System and Genesis. ![]()
